I am more a fan of exercise than sport! When I was younger, I played several sports, including netball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, but purely for fun. Now I enjoy walking and Zumba.
There is only one sport I watch avidly – tennis! I lived near the Wimbledon Championship courts, seeing some brilliant matches over the years, including one final. Last year, we got tickets after many years of not attending. I was delighted to be able to return! You will also find me glued to the television for some of the major tennis tournaments.
Mr. FF and our sons are sports mad! They enjoy watching and participating in a range sports. I, on the other hand, think sport can be dangerous, partly because of the range of injuries I have seen incurred by my family members!

Good evening June
Well done in keeping going – the end is in sight. Good for you perhaps, but I’m sure your readers will miss such frequent postings.
Sport!! I have an Olympic gold medal in watching but would not even get into the “b team” in participation.
I adore Rugby League and all that goes with it. I first started watching at 18 when I was at college and my then boyfriend played and supported his local team; RL wasn’t played where I came from. It’s an ongoing love affair! I watch on Sky Sports every weekend in the season.
I also love Road Cycling, especially the grand tours. I admire so much the athleticism of the riders. They cover miles and miles day after day up and down mountains and over hills. As I read more about it the more I enjoy it. My two favourites are Geraint Thomas and Mark Cavendish. Both are in the autumn of their careers so I will have to look for new riders to cheer on!
Enjoy your rest from writing in February.

Hello Sue,
I’m impressed with your passion for Rugby League. My husband watches RL matches on TV but I rarely join him!
You probably watch the Tour de France. When I was a student in Tours, the T de F, came through a local village and it was very exciting to see, and to spend the rest of the day and night celebrating! When the Olympics were in the UK, I followed the cycling, especially as we live relatively near to Box Hill which featured in the event.
When I finish writing, I need to spend some time catching up with all my favourite blogs
Thank you for your continued support and for taking time to comment.
June!

Like you, I’m glued to the screen throughout Wimbledon and most of the Slams. I was so thrilled that Sinner won the Australian.
