This is going to be a short but sweet post!
The lie I often tell myself is: ‘I’ll only have one more biscuit!’
Friends and family are aware of my biscuit problem. Apparently, I have always loved biscuits (or cookies) since I was a child.
In my opinion, one biscuit is never enough. I tell myself that I’ll just have one with my cup of tea or, at the most, two. However, if I’m not careful, I can demolish a whole packet.
I’m not like this with cake, chocolate, or any other sweet temptations.
In an attempt to constrain my biscuit habit, I have a rule that I’m not allowed to open a new packet just for the sake of it. I force myself to wait until my husband or son decide they want a biscuit.
Alternatively, if we have visitors, this is the ideal reason excuse to be a good host. So I always offer my guests a biscuit with their coffee or tea. When they’ve gone I can always tuck into the rest of the packet!
So I know I’m always kidding myself when I say ‘I’ll only have one more biscuit’!
Everyone is allowed a little indulgence… or even a whole packet of indulgence!

By coincidence, I was just eating a biscuit aka cookie (well, maybe two or three) when I came upon this post.

Glad to know that I’m not the only one who likes a biscuit/cookie or two! Or three…
