It’s been a while since I wrote a mishmash. February was a relatively quiet month in the Surrey Hills, with plenty of rain and mud to keep us entertained! There were cold and misty mornings.

And clear blue skies

As for blogging, I set myself my own challenge. I was disappointed when there was no Bloganuary this year: https://fancyingfrance.com/2025/01/02/the-disappearance-of-bloganuary/ Instead, I decided to publish a post every day in February – nothing to do with it being the shortest month of the year! My inspiration came from the WordPress Daily Prompt.
I’m pleased I managed to post on all twenty-eight days of February! I’m not a stats person, but I like to know which posts elicited the most comments. If someone takes the time to comment, it shows engagement with the blog post. Liking a post doesn’t necessarily mean that the post has been read!
In no particular order, the three most ‘popular’ posts were:
I don’t know of any specific reason for the popularity of these posts, but I did have fun writing them. Not every February prompt was as enjoyable!

To complete my February mishmash, here are a few photos taken this month. I love baking, producing some melting moments, and a mincemeat and marzipan loaf cake.
Zeph still loves his toys and rolling in things he shouldn’t!

Bravo! You were blogging every day! My blogging time is so limited. Sad.
Zeph is such a handsome boy ๐๐

I have more time now that I am retired from work!
I think Zeph is very handsome too, but I would Angela!
Thanks for your comment ๐

Those photographs reminded me of winter dog walks over the downs near Tadworth.
Enjoyed the remark of Zeph rolling in things he shouldn’t…spent yesterday afternoon washing the oldest dog, Black Tot, after she found and enjoyed a rotting armadillo. She is still sulking.

There are some nice pubs in Tadworth!
I’m sure Zeph would be beside himself if he encountered a rotting armadillo. Must beat fox poo…

Thank you. I love my dog walks. Sometimes the thought of them is not great, but I always feel uplifted by fresh air and a brisk outing!

I love a good mishmash. I do a monthly photo dump on Facebook and insta of my favourite pictures of each month and I’ve started doing a ‘best bits of’ each month. Well done on writing a post a day.

I like the idea of a monthly photo dump and might pinch that idea! ‘Best bits’ is another interesting concept. I enjoyed writing a post a day as it made a change from my usual bogging style. Thanks for running #pocolo
