I don’t have a favourite pair of shoes, but I have a favourite pair of boots. The Wellington boots in the photo below are over twenty years old, but they are not my favourite pair!. Despite their age, They are still waterproof and great for stomping through mud, puddles, and other delights that must be faced on dog walks.
They are comfortable, but I wouldn’t wear them on a longer walk as they no longer have much grip. Fortunately, I have hiking boots that are perfect for uneven terrain. In the photo below, Zeph was very young; I’m not sure what he was planning to do with my boots, chew them probably!

I love the dark green leather boots shown below. They’ve taken me to London, Toulouse, Brighton, Belfast, Amsterdam and beyond! They have served me well over the years. Unfortunately, the zip closure of one of them is broken. A trip to the cobblers will determine whether they can be mended.

I love your boots. They are so nice.
Rubber boots are my favorite type of shoes. They are from my childhood. I lived in a residential school when I was a child. One day, another girl who lived in my room once bullied me and she was very annoying. I patiently waited for her to stop, but she continued to tease me. Then I took a rubber boot and beat her up. We fought quietly, without shouting and screaming, but since then nobody has hurt me. So Viva to rubber boots. I won and they made me stronger 😀
Have a wonderful day 🙋

Now this is a question I can get behind! A great pair of shoes is like a loyal travel buddy—always there for the highs, the lows, and the ‘why did I think walking 15km in these was a good idea?’ moments. My all-time favorite? A beat-up pair of sneakers that have seen more cobblestone streets and airport sprints than they probably should’ve survived. From dodging rogue scooters in Hanoi to strolling the Venetian canals (read: strategically avoiding puddles), they’ve carried me through it all. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s shoe-stories—because let’s be real, every great adventure starts with one solid step!

I do love my Wellie boots, but not the best for walking long distances in. My favourite boots are my Doc Martins, they have quite literally taken me around the world numerous times. Hubby bought them for my 49th birthday. They will be 5 this year. Thanks for sharing with #pocolo

I love my wellies too, but they have very little grip. I can understand your love for Doc Martens. I used to wear mine when I was a student. I did buy a pair recently, but I couldn’t be bothered to wear them in and gave them to a young friend. She was delighted! Thanks for everything you do to keep #pocolo running.
