As far as I’m concerned, I’ve already responded to this prompt when I wrote about five things I do for fun: https://fancyingfrance.com/2024/01/23/bloganuary-23-list-five-things-you-do-for-fun/
However, in the spirit of the Bloganuary 2024 challenge, I will add some more activities I do in my leisure time! I always read and reply to the comments on my posts, and Vanessa suggested eating and drinking as possible fun activities. Absolutely, and thanks for the suggestion!
- I love to meet friends and family for coffee, lunch, tea, aperitif, or dinner!
- I enjoy going to the cinema and the theatre. We are fortunate to have a lively and well-attended Arts Centre in our village.
- Trips to galleries and museums in France, the UK, or elsewhere are equally pleasurable.
- I attend French conversation classes whenever I can. They are fun and good for the brain cells. I’m trying to find a Portuguese teacher but have been unsuccessful so far!

I can put my hand up to those. Going to French classes for several years when we first moved here was the best thing we did. I enjoy singing, so I’d add that.

Hi June
Thanks for the daily posts – Challenging me to think too!
I adore reading and have a huge TBR pile that never lessens as I keep adding to it.
We have a lovely little local bookshop run by a friendly knowledgeable lady who is so helpful, making suggestions and ordering anything we want. She also sells jigsaws which I love doing too. If I could own a shop like this I would. Perhaps adding a cafe on the side to serve my last passion – coffee, strong and dark.
Have a good day

Hi Sue,
I’m so pleased you’re continuing to read the daily posts – thank you!
Like you, I have an ever growing TBR pile.
Sadly, our only independent bookshop closed down a few years ago. I do miss it! They used to sell beautiful greeting cards and a wonderful range of stationery. To own a bookshop, plus café would be delightful, I imagine.
Have a good weekend.

June, we could be kindred sisters – except French classes are not available in my part of the country! 😊
