I’ve remained consistent with most of my hobbies and activities. I still enjoy reading, travelling, dancing, walking, blogging, and learning languages.
However, I no longer run for pleasure. There was a time when I ran every day, sometimes before I went to work. I was fortunate to have local friends who also loved to run. We began by training for 10k races, which we achieved. The next aim was a half marathon.
However, my lifestyle changed. I got married and had children, and running fell by the wayside.
I miss running by the sea, but I’m more than happy to walk – a lot!

I do like a cryptic crossword occasionally, but I don’t have the skill of my mum who also used to do the Daily Telegraph crossword. She introduced me to the ‘Ladygram’ which is cryptic crossword in The Lady magazine. This has a puzzle within a puzzle which results in the discovery of a book title and its author. Highly recommended!
