My ideal day would begin with a cup of tea in bed, accompanied by a good book.
I would be somewhere warm and sunny, so breakfast would be eaten outside. This might be an almond croissant or, if I was feeling very hungry, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I would drink strong black coffee.
As my perfect day would be spent near the sea, I would take the opportunity for a long walk along the shore. I would need to work up an appetite for my next meal! In the afternoon, I would visit a local market perhaps selling crafts. Depending on the temperature, I might stop briefly at a café for a cold beer – a bit of a theme here maybe!
Dinner would also be enjoyed outside, perhaps at a restaurant serving fish and salad, plus a fresh Sauvignon Blanc. My ideal day would be spent in one of my ‘Happy Places’. If you have been following my blog, you might remember a post I wrote called ‘My Happy Place’. Here’s a link: https://fancyingfrance.com/2022/01/27/my-happy-place/

I don’t really have an ideal day, June. Any day that I could spend exploring somewhere new ranks highly with me.

I can see why exploring somewhere new would rank highly, as long as it wasn’t disappointing, Jo!

That sound pretty close to my ideal day, except that I would swap the sea for mountains (Cantal, ideally) and the croissant for a chocolatine!

I enjoy the mountains but not so much as the sea; likewise with chocolatines! Thanks for your comment.

Very similar to yours. I’d be waking up in the camper van with a view of the sea, a book and a mug of tea, a bacon butty, sun streaming in through the windows and no agenda. Thanks for joining in with #pocolo
