Knowing Zeph, that is exactly what he’s thinking! Does your dog’s toy have a name? Our one is called – most unoriginally – Barry! The person who bought Barry as a present for Zeph thought they had very similar colouring which, I guess, is true! Thanks for your comment Hugh.
We tell the dogs to go and get Mr. Badger, June. It’s incredible how they know which toy is which. Mr. Badger has been with us for about three years. I’m surprised he has not been torn open, but he does look well-played with.
Mr Badger is a more upmarket name than Barry! I’ve seen a YouTube clip of a Border Collie who knows the names of his 231 toys. I can’t imagine Zeph having that many toys, let alone naming them. Although he does know about ten! I’m impressed that Mr Badger has lasted for 3 years.
So am I, June. Toby is 13 now, but when he was younger, he would always destroy most of his toys. He doesn’t seem interested in doing that, preferring me to chase him while he carries Mr Badger. It’s an after-dinner game that usually lasts about 5 minutes.
‘Has anyone seen where my badger is?’
My two dogs have the same toy. And they love it.

That’s a fantastic age for a corgi, isn’t it? It’s fascinating how many dogs like to ‘invent’ their own games and set the rules!

I’d love to know what they’re thinking, but they’re probably just waiting for food and a walk. Thanks for linking with #pocolo

You’re probably right. I probably credit Zeph with having far more thoughts than he has in reality! Thanks for your comment #pocolo
