Just one? I don’t think so. I’m fortunate that there are many times when I have felt loved.

I feel loved when my husband brings me a cup of tea in bed, when I am cooked a meal by one of my sons, when my dog cuddles up to me on the sofa. I feel loved when I receive warm hugs or phone calls from friends.

One prompt from last year’s Bloganuary asked, ‘How do you show love?‘ The way that I show love reflects the ways I feel loved. I have copied this post below, so please read on if you wish!

How do you show love?
I love my family, my friends, and my dog, but I show them love in different ways.
Of course, I like to buy presents for those I love, not just at Christmas or birthdays, but because I might see something that I think they would appreciate or would make them happy.
I show my love by listening and focusing on what I am being told, giving my full attention to show interest in what they say.
Doing something kind, thoughtful, and helpful is another way I show love. It might be taking someone to the hospital for an appointment or walking their dog when they can’t. It might be picking up the phone and calling for a chat to show they are in my thoughts.
I bake a cake or cook a favourite meal, as actions speak louder than words!
Being a ‘hugger’ is another way I like to show love. I understand that not everyone is comfortable with physical contact, but I like to give and receive hugs.
As for my dog, I think he knows I love him when I take him for walks, give him treats and cuddle him on the sofa. After all, his love is unconditional!
