I don’t get attached to many things. For me, friends and family hold more value than material possessions. However, I have kept a few items from my children’s early years. It has been interesting to reflect on the few items that I still possess from my youth. This also means that this will be a short post!

As a child, I remember having several soft toys that I loved. I still have one remaining teddy bear. He is unusual as he has black fur and blue eyes. I don’t remember his name but it might have been ‘Bruno’.

He doesn’t look as appealing nowadays, but the fact that I still have him must be significant. The other soft toy I recall was a Sooty glove puppet. I think he might have been acquired by my younger brother or sister!

Books have always been important to me, but I have surprisingly few from my youth. One of my favourite books was ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.’ I can remember passing this on to my sister.

Most items to which I became attached were either handed down to my siblings or disappeared in my many house moves. I’ll be interested to read the responses of other bloggers!
