If I spent ages deliberating over this prompt, I imagine I would eventually come up with some profound replies to the question. Instead I have decided to opt for the first thought that came into my head – the gift of time. Money and material goods, although not without worth, are not as precious as the gift of time.
Spending time with family and friends is priceless. Children grow up so quickly and when our parents are no longer with us, you wish that you’d been able to spend more time with them. It might be a cliché but I’m talking about what is called ‘quality time’. This is defined as ‘time that you spend with someone, giving them your full attention because you value the relationship’.
If someone gladly gives me their time that is a great and much appreciated gift.
