I don’t get attached to many things. For me, friends and family hold more value than material possessions. However, I have kept a few items from my children’s early years. It has been interesting to reflect on the few items that I still possess from my youth. This also means that this will be a short post!
As a child, I remember having several soft toys that I loved. I still have one remaining teddy bear. He is unusual as he has black fur and blue eyes. I don’t remember his name but it might have been ‘Bruno’.

He doesn’t look as appealing nowadays, but the fact that I still have him must be significant. The other soft toy I recall was a Sooty glove puppet. I think he might have been acquired by my younger brother or sister!
Books have always been important to me, but I have surprisingly few from my youth. One of my favourite books was ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.’ I can remember passing this on to my sister.
Most items to which I became attached were either handed down to my siblings or disappeared in my many house moves. I’ll be interested to read the responses of other bloggers!

That’s a wonderful collection of childhood memorabilia to have, especially the dresses!

I have a battered Snoopy doll and an ancient bear. Snoopy dozes up in our little ‘room at the top’, but Bear lives in a heap with my grandson Logan’s soft toys. I have an old anthology of Winnie the Pooh, but I honestly can’t remember when I got it. Seems like a bear theme going on, but I don’t have a Paddington.

There is definitely a bear theme going on here, but teddy bears do seem to stand the test of time. I never had a Paddington but one of my sons was given a PB. I can also remember reading Rupert Bear to my younger brother. Whatever happened to RB? I imagine he fell out of fashion… Thanks for reading my Bloganuary posts and for commenting. I always feel a bit conscious of ‘over blogging’ but that’s what Bloganuary is all about 😂

I think it’s important to enjoy the challenge in terms of blogging daily, otherwise, what’s the point?! I wouldn’t want to continue writing every day in the long-term but as I’m quite an undisciplined blogger, I think it’s good for me to try to stick to a schedule! I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with energy levels but I hope you’ll be OK soon.

Cute teddy bear. It’s very heartfelt.
I was attached to point shoes. I was a baller dancer 🙂

I also have my childhood teddy, Panda. He’s, guess what, a panda! I have a few books too. I have kept more of the kids’ things in the hope that my son’s children will read English books one day.

This is a great prompt. Humm, I don’t recall what I was attached to as a child. I’m sure there was something but I just can’t recall it.

Snowy sounds lovely, and it’s wonderful that those childhood items have travelled the world with you. I’ll look forward to reading your blog post. Some of the prompts for the WordPress Bloganuary Challenge are not inspiring but some of them are! #pocolo
