Because I love writing! Simple as…
Writing makes me happy. I’ve enjoyed the process of writing for as long as I can remember.
I always wrote a diary when I was younger. It was the perfect way to express my teenage angst and work through my dreams, frustrations, hopes, and disappointments – at least on paper!
When I was in sixth form ( aged sixteen to eighteen) I used to dabble with poetry and I was thrilled when I had some of my poems published in the school magazine.
Over the years, my love for the written word hasn’t diminished, and now blogging is my creative outlet. I get so much pleasure from producing my blog and also from connecting with those who take the time to read and comment on my posts. Thank you!
This post might seem rather brief for someone who is professing their love of writing but, in the words of Christian Nestell Bovee “All good writing leaves something unexpressed.”
“All good writing leaves something unexpressed.” – great advice!

Nice read and not too short. I’m personally only good for around 200 words. Love microfiction and the like. Following alot of people and only room for a snapshot of what’s going down in their world. On Bloganuary so am sure I’ll see you around😊😊

Thanks for your kind words. For my ‘normal’ blog, I write less often and more in-depth. Hopefully, see you again during Bloganuary! 😉

I have always enjoyed writing too and also used to keep a diary for many years as a child. I then had numerous pen-pals around the world, several I got to meet and one in Norway I am still in touch with but now by email except for Christmas and birthdays. I encouraged my sons to create scrap books of their travels whilst at primary school and it’s fun to look back on these occasionally. Starting blogging on a whim in August 2015 has led me to so many unexpected pleasures and new friends. I think we both made the best decision to start blogging!

I completely forgot about pen friends! I also had several around the world and, in those days, I remember those flimsy blue airmail letters that I used to send and receive. How wonderful that you are still in touch with one of your pen pals! Thanks for taking the time to comment on these daily posts, Marion. It is greatly appreciated!
