I don’t have a favourite pair of shoes, but I have a favourite pair of boots. The Wellington boots in the photo below are over twenty years old, but they are not my favourite pair!. Despite their age, They are still waterproof and great for stomping through mud, puddles, and other delights that must be faced on dog walks.

They are comfortable, but I wouldn’t wear them on a longer walk as they no longer have much grip. Fortunately, I have hiking boots that are perfect for uneven terrain. In the photo below, Zeph was very young; I’m not sure what he was planning to do with my boots, chew them probably!

I love the dark green leather boots shown below. They’ve taken me to London, Toulouse, Brighton, Belfast, Amsterdam and beyond! They have served me well over the years. Unfortunately, the zip closure of one of them is broken. A trip to the cobblers will determine whether they can be mended.
