I remember Skippy! This particular kangaroo was in the dining room of a London hotel. It was quite strange having him watching me while I ate my breakfast!
I hope his eyes didn’t follow you around the breakfast room, June. I’m trying to think of the strangest item I’ve seen in a hotel breakfast room, but all I can think of is a full-size cardboard cutout of Dracula.
We were at a hotel in North London, and the dining room was decorated eclectically with lots of unusual artefacts. It was disconcerting to be watched by a stuffed kangaroo! Thanks for dropping by.
I’ve heard of boxing kangaroos but have yet to see one in real life. It reminds me of the kid’s TV show I used to love in the 70s – Skippy.

I think they did! A full-size cardboard cut-out of Dracula is definitely unusual, Hugh.

Well, there’s something you don’t see every day. Definitely a unusual sight to see over breakfast!
